Environmental Empowerment of Children and Youth
Through the educational module “Nature Detectives,” we inspire children and youth to learn about, value, and protect the biodiversity around them. This process strengthens local identity and awakens pride and responsibility toward natural resources. Using behavior-based design, we created an engaging and playful module that sparks curiosity. We propose actions children can carry out at home, in the classroom, and in their communities to address environmental challenges.
Environmental Capacity Building for Teachers
We work with teachers from the Intercultural Bilingual Education Centers (CEIBI) of Vivamos Mejor’s Social Program. Through our environmental module “Qanan Ulew” (which means Our Mother Nature), we teach about local biodiversity, environmental challenges, and context-appropriate solutions. The module includes three educational resources for teachers, designed to be replicated in classrooms, inspiring children to care for their environment and build respectful relationships with nature from an early age.
Environmental Awareness
We promote an environmental culture through communication, education, and community participation. We develop and share radio and television programs that bring messages about biodiversity conservation and responsible coexistence with nature to the wider population. We also strengthen the capacities of municipal technicians, park rangers, extension workers, and community leaders through diploma programs and training processes that integrate technical knowledge, environmental values, and local action. Every message, every voice, and every learning experience becomes a seed of change toward a more sustainable future.
