Regenerative Agroecology

Sustainable food systems rooted in resilience and soil health

How we do it

We work alongside rural families and communities to produce healthy and diverse food, with special attention to soil health. We strengthen agroecological practices that combine ancestral and scientific knowledge. We promote the use of organic fertilizers, soil conservation, crop diversification, and natural pest management.

Lines of Action

Family Gardens

We promote productive spaces close to the home where families grow vegetables, fruits, herbs, and medicinal plants. Family gardens strengthen food security and food sovereignty, improve nutrition, and foster a deeper connection with nature. They also allow families to make use of local resources, diversify their diets, and generate small surpluses that can become complementary sources of income.

aves de corral

Poultry Farming

We promote the raising of domestic poultry, providing families with access to high-quality protein, organic fertilizer for crops, and opportunities to generate income. Families strengthen their nutrition, diversify their livelihoods, and responsibly use local resources in a sustainable way.

sistema milpa

The Milpa System

We recognize the milpa system as an ancestral agroforestry model that sustains life in multiple ways. It is composed of corn, beans, squash, and other native species that grow in harmony, protect the soil, nourish families, and provide forage for domestic animals. This system not only produces diverse and nutritious food, but also strengthens family and cultural bonds, preserving knowledge passed down through generations. The milpa is more than a crop—it is a model of balance between people, land, and biodiversity.
